When Wendy was a baby she was found on the steps of an orphanage wearing a tiny hat on her head and holding a toy boomerang. The nuns at the orphanage thought the boomerang meant her parents would come back for her, but Wendy had other plans in mind. At the age of 12 she came to terms with her absent (possibly nonexistent) parents, decided she would be proactive in her own fate, and went off to the nearby Gruekie forest to choose her own parents. She settled on a family of raccoon, a cuddly, secretly vicious bunch who took care of their own. Wendy adapted to the nocturnal habits of the raccoon family, and even wore a blindfold during the day so her eyes would always be adjusted to the dark. She was overactive, flexible, and jumpy. She was known to do superfluous back flips and swing from tree to tree. She had a raccoon's highly developed sense of touch and fierce territorial behavior.
