Celebrate TAG's 1st Anniversary at Melrose this SaturdayToy Art Gallery Anniversary Show 2012 on 9/15
This month has been Toy Art Gallery's first full year in it's new location on Melrose, and to celebrate they've invited 50+ artists to create exclusive editions, one-of-a-kind custom toys and works of art, limited edition apparel, and more. The 'TAG Anniversary Show' will open it's doors Saturday 9/15 starting at 7pm and it will run until 10pm. Alex Pardee SDCC release finally revealedBunnywith figures by Alex Pardee at DKE Toy booth
Over the last week or so DKE Toys have been leaking teasers of Alex Pardee's new Bunnywith series set to release at SDCC. Some people were speculating on more of his Bunnywith Plush figures, while other thought it might be t-shirts, prints or who knows what. The final word is a series of five 3" injection molded GID figures . Only one figure will be sold per day at the DKE Booth #4728, they'll retail for $5 and includes one corresponding screenprinted vinyl sticker bagged with a headercard.... [ read more ]

Jon-Paul Kaiser, Triclops Studio, Sneak Raccoon & moreFugi.me launches on Feb. 1st
Fugi.me, a new UK-based fine art prints by underground designers company, is set to launch on February 1st with an initial offering by Jon-Paul Kaiser. Kaiser's "Tolteca Print" will a 16"x16" 3-color lithograph limited to 50 copies, all hand-numbered and packed with a signed certificate of authenticity. Retailing for the very reasonable £29.99 (approx. $47), it is anticipated that this release will completely sell out rather quickly. The sophomore outing for the company will be the "Clop Swap" by Triclops Studio, a 16"x16" 5-color lithograph limited to 50 copies, also hand-numbered with a signed certificate of authenticity. Then Sneaky Raccoon will provide her unique sensibilities to a release, Valentine's Day themed is the rumor, to be quickly followed by pieces by Cris Rose and Podgy Panda. Damn, that B.A.S.T.A.R.D. is bigPeeNut by Triclops
For San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) 2011, Triclops created a M.U.S.C.L.E. reminiscent figure set called the Bootleg Army Stuck Together And Randomly Designed… or B.A.S.T.A.R.D. for short. There were ten resin cast figures, each with various colorways, featuring such memorable names as Ballock, Musclito, Crudscud, Pig Buddha, Nipples, Tommy Tanker, Goddam, Legno, Neanderhog, and Pee-NutPeeNut.
