Star Wars overload in NYC next week ... are you ready?Art Wars: A New Hope feauring work by Scott Kinnebrew & Jason Chalker
So I wrote up a quick post this morning after Jason Chalker gave us a sneak peek of his Lucha themed Star Wars print for the Art Wars: A New Hope opening 10/11 at Kidrobot New York. It seems that other half of this show Scott Kinnebrew thought it was time people got to see some of what he's been working on. I've attached some of the images he's sent since I don't want to give away the whole show but it seems like he's bringing a variety of customs, prints, and art. I'm really to pick up one of his resin 'Bantha Buddy' show to the right. It's sure to be a great show, but you HAVE to go to the opening on 10/11 since it's only there for one night only. Art Wars: A New Hope opens 10/11 at Kidrobot NYSome peeks from ManlyArt (Jason Chalker)
Jason Chalker just sent me a peek at one of the prints he and Scott Kinnebrew will have for their two-man, Star Wars themed show 'Art Wars: A New Hope' which opens at Kidrobot New York next Thursday. The works vary from custom toys, original art, and prints ... including the 'La Guerra De Los Luchadores' 12" x 18" giclee by Jason which will be an edition of 50 for $40. My only problem with the show is you NEED to go to the opening on Thursday October 11th from 6-10pm as the show is only up for one-night due the Kidrobot Anniversary show opening the following night. We'll be definitely be there to show our support, cover the event, hand out stickers and generally have a merry time. What a great way to kick-off the opening night of NYCC.... [ read more ]

Lisa over at Kidrobot NY does an amazing job curating events over at the store, and it's great to see a customs from a variety of artists in the cases each time I stop by. It looks like for one day, October 11th, Kidrobot will host 'Art Wars' which features Star Wars themed custom toys from Scott Kinnebrew and Jason Chalker.
