I've been hearing hype about the 10 Year Anniversary of Kidrobot from a variety of people for months now. After receiving a press kit yesterday I'm glad to see they didn't disappoint. The celebration will include an event at Kidrobot New York showcasing releases over the decade. It all kicks off with an invite-only reception October 12th over NYCC weekend and run until October 22nd. Hopefully we're on the list to cover it. :) The anniversary will also have 10 special releases: three Dunny's, two 'Bots, and five special t-shirt designs from Paul Budnitz, Tristan Eaton and Frank Kozik. With all the news of manufacturers & shops closing I'm glad to see Kidrobot is still pushing ahead strong.... [ read more ]

Art and presidential electionsIs there pro-republican support from artists?

Maybe my google-fu is failing me in my old age, but when I search for election artwork I can't seem to find pro-republican artwork. On the flip side projects like the Manifest Hope Show in 2009 featured work by Shepard Fairey, Ron English, Tristan Eaton, Jermaine Rogers, Sam Flores, etc fill my search results. Last week Dave Kinsey created the above print for the Obama campaign as an open edition until Nov 12th in hopes of helping raise money for the Obama campaign. (can be bought at blkmrktgallery.com)...
