I personally fell in love with Gary Ham's 'Monster Totem' that he made from wood for the Winter Salon : 2011 show at Stranger Factory last year. Ever since then there have been posts about this upcoming vinyl version of the Monster Toytem, but it seems it's now on a boat and up for pre-order on Gary's site superham.bigcartel.com. The Monster Toytem is a 7 piece stackable and interchangeable vinyl toy set. Each piece is 2" tall and stacks to a monsterous height of 14". 9 peeks at the upcoming Giant Robot showGiant Robot Biennale 3 at Japanese American National Museum on 9.22
I've been dropping in a variety of customs this week for the 'Giant Robot Biennale 3' show at the Japanese American National Museum opening September 22nd. The show features 80+ artists who have customized on of David Horvath's many Uglydoll figures paired with a Giant Robot's mascot. Over the next week I'm sure the library will fill up with more customs so be sure to check back before the show opens.
