Scott Wilkowski infects the Giant Robot Biennal 3 ShowCustom edition of 30 Red Flatwood Monsters
Scott Wilkowski has created a new edition of Infected figures ... producing a 30 piece run of Infected Flatwood Monsters in a new Red colorway after releasing a Green & Brown version of the Flatwoods Monster figure for SDCC 2012. This edition is part of the 'Giant Robot Biennale 3' produced by Giant Robot. A single copy of the new colorway will be on display at the exhibit, while the remainder of the edition of 30 will be available this Friday, September 21st, 2012 at 1PM PST for $150 each in the Giant Robot store giantrobot.com.... New Misfortune Cat dropping for NYCCIvory colorway by Chris Ryniak exclusive to Myplasticheart booth #3313
We first saw this Misfortune Cat design from Chris Ryniak as a custom for the 'Reconstructing Misfortune' show a few year back at Munky King. At SDCC 2012 the first 'All Black' production version was released by Playge. Now for those of us fortunate to make it to NYCC we'll get a chance to grab an Ivory version over at the Myplasticheart booth #3121. Imperial Wok-R now available on DoodlebarnHandpainted Wok-R by Dez Einswell
Back during SDCC artist Dez Einswell released an edition of 10 Wok-r titled 'Sky Wok-R'. Now he's back with an Imperial Wok-R which is also a hand-painted edition of 10 standing at 8" tall, retailing for $280 and are available right now at doodlebarn.com. Kidrobot has more Skullslinger up their sleevesBlondie Skullslinger by Huck Gee & Kidrobot
I had a feeling that just like the Homer Buddha that the Skullslinger figure wasn't going to be limited to just a SDCC release. Huck Gee and Kidrobot have a Blonde Edition of the Skullslinger dropping August 9th. Even with 700 pieces available and a $100 price tag, I wouldn't expect these to last too long at Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com, and select retailers worldwide. Some more Halloween in JulyGrim Marshall by 64 Colors & produced by Squibbles Ink + Rotofugi
While UME toys has their Halloween in July giveaway going, it looks like 64 Colors also thought it might be fun to bring a little scary to July. This SDCC release of their popular Marshall figure will thankfully be a debut of their super cute GID 'Grim Marshall', which like the Toasted Marshall will be available worldwide later on rotofugi.com. This little guy will be dropping at the Rotofugi booth #4736 and retail for $13 with tax included. Luke is getting ready for SDCC, are you?Target by Luke Chueh and produced by Munky King
So apparently Luke Chueh has been busting his ass the week before SDCC to customize each of the 250pcs of his newest release Target from Munky King. I'm not sure why there is some backlash from people about drawing on the toy? It's not a giant signature like some artists, that I will not name, splash all over their toy, but a very thoughtful drawing that couldn't be more poignant give the subject of the piece.... Dudebox invades SDCC with a Zombie ClownPunchy the Clown from Attaboy and Dudebox
While Dudebox isn't making the trip out to SDCC, it appears that 'Punchy the Clown' from Attaboy will be making an appearance at the Hi-Fructose booth #4939 on their behalf. This release of Dudebox's Ted platform will be limited to only 300 pieces worldwide, with Attaboy on hand for a signing. SDCC exclusive Audrey Kawasaki print at Hi-FructoseLili and her Ghost by Audrey Kawasaki
One of many prints available at the Hi-Fructose booth #4939 for SDCC. This Audrey Kawasaki print is approximately 12" x 12", will be limited to just 200, and retail for $150. The print will be released as part of Audrey's signing that also includes specially made collector cards as well as Hi-Fructose Vol.2 Books, where her art is on the cover. She'll be at the booth for a signing appearance on Saturday July 14th from 11:30-1:30pm and after a short break will be back again at 3:30pm.
