Another Monday at Trampt and another batch of artists that you must get to know. I should probably be less forward in my recommendations but I've entered thousands of items into this site and I know what I like. Plus I doubt any of these artists would disagree with me that they're awesome and you should check out their work. Anyway, on to our featured artists
I think I own all of their production Dunnys released to date, including their first 8" release René London. However, it's their latest figure produced with Unbox Industries that has my attention at the moment ... Pee-Nut. Pee-Nut is an homage to the classic M.U.S.C.L.E. figures I had scattered over my room as a kid. Their release, called the Bootleg Army Stuck Together And Randomly Designed (or B.A.S.T.A.R.D.) is a definite winner. You can check out more of their work at triclopsstudio.com and follow them on twitter @TriclopsApeman.
I've entered many of Southerndrawl's customs into the site, but none has made me laugh as much as his latest piece 'Shooting for the Stars' for the Bellicosity show that opened last Friday at Toy Art Gallery. As with all of Southerndrawls customs, his take on the Bellicose Bunny by Nathan Hamill's, was crude, funny and all around great. You can check out more of Southerndrawl's work at particlegun.blogspot.com and follow him on twitter if he had an account.
I first heard about Teodoru's work from a Circus Posterus blog post talking about his upcoming 'Wippo' prototype. Now I just keep looking at all the amazing prints he keeps uploading and hoping all of them will eventually be cast in resin or vinyl. In the meantime, you can check out a variety of his prints for sale on the Society6 site. You can check out more of Teodoru Badiu's work at theodoru.com and follow him on twitter @teodoru.
N.C. Winters solo show Abandoned Menagerie opened a few weeks back at Gallery 1988 - Venice and runs until April 7th. Nothing makes me appreciate what I do more when I get to see great painters take on pop culture from my childhood. His 'Zelda Endures' piece from the Old School Video Game Show is probably the only piece I would consider selling my car to buy. Unfortunately I still have to get to work. You can check out more of N.C. Winter's work at ncwinters.com and follow him on twitter @ncwinters.
