It seems that the Circus Posterus crew can't help make amazing things and travel around the world putting on shows for everyone. They arrive for their first every show in France 'Le Carnaval des Spectres' which opens tomorrow September 13th at the Artoyz Gallery in Paris. The show features work by all of the Circus Posterus crew: Brandt Peteres, Kathie Olivas, Travis Louie, Chris Ryniak, Amanda Louise Spayd, and finally new Circus Posterus member Teodoru Badiu. The show will feature a variety of originals, customs, and the drop of Teodoru's highly anticipated Wippo figure. This big news is Brandt, Kathie, Travis, and Teo will all be in attendance ... so go show your support

from Artoyz:
Iconoclastic Grouping of internationally known artists and illustrators, Circus Posterus strives to develop the universe of each member of the collective, through exhibitions and various art projects including paintings, drawings, sculptures and original or customized figures. The couple who founded the group, Kathie Olivas & Brandt Peters, have made a name among Fine Arts enthusiasts and toys collectors around the world. Brandt Peters is a self-taught California artist who explores different themes in his works where retro cartoons and Victorian era toys are mixed with a World comprised of creepy sideshow icons, deviant Animalia, and “masked” glorified cartoon alter egos.

Kathie Olivas is an internationally exhibited multi-media artist from New Mexico. Through her current body of work, the Misery Children, she explores society’s insatiable desire to assign ‘cuteness’ and our discomfort with the unknown. A dark blend of early American portraiture set in post apocalyptic times, Kathie’s paintings and custom toys are a satirical look at how fear affects our sense of reality.

During this event you will also have the opportunity to discover the art of Travis Louie, whose main influences of his neo-realist paintings are from the Victorian and Edwardian era, Chris Ryniak, creator of a fabulous insectary and a monster bestiary. Also exhibiting is hand made plush artist and perfume alchemist, Amanda Louise Spayd and finally Teodoru Badiu, model-maker and illustrator.

After the success of the last collective exhibition in Japan sooner this year, we are delighted to welcome the crew that will unveil their latest creations and new figures for the first time in France.
