A Munny is a figure created by Kidrobot and made out of vinyl with movable joints. The initial idea was undertaken by taggers/ street artists/ street art designs and toys from (illegal artists) who have come to bring back their work legally to the public to display their works. The figures are blank and the owner can decorate them using pens, pencils, markers, paint, and other supplies. Alternatively, some people commission artists to design Munnys for them, or artists design them to sell. In MUNNYWORLD, you can do anything you want! MUNNY, BUB, TRIKKY, RAFFY, and ROOZ are the soft, super smooth vinyl figures that make up MUNNYWORLD. Each one is a blank canvas, and all ready for scribbling, piercing, painting, posing, piling, dressing up, and sculpting into forms straight from your imagination or you can keep them just as they are. We believe that we can converge this triad of concepts through our Diffusion and Commerce Project of unique Wixarika Art pieces (Huichol Art). Our pieces are elaborated by Huichol families of the diverse rural communities inhabiting mainly in the Sierra Madre Occidental. It is a joint idea of the Bachelor of Cultural Tourism Marcela Abarca and the Visual Artist Fernando Motilla, who found the fascinating beads and yarn Huichol artwork. So detailed and colorful, its precision, mystical symbology and its Universe conception that motivated them to make it notorious and indispensable the reassessment of every piece made by these artists and situate it as a live and latent story of the contemporaneous indigenous culture from Mexico to the world. Kidrobot is a well-known American designer toy company, and while they have historically been more focused on online retail, they have also had a presence with physical stores in certain locations. These stores are often considered flagship locations where collectors and art toy enthusiasts can experience Kidrobot’s offerings in person, including their iconic limited-edition toys, collectibles, and art pieces.
