The SHO was created and set up by Emily and Dan as an independent venue, a gallery and a shop. With a vision to bridge the gap between different art forms and open the spectrum of gallery expectations. It fuses together traditional art with contemporary digital design and illustration, fueling a gallery/outlet offering affordable exclusive art and design pieces. A place where local and upcoming artists as well as established international designers working in diverse mediums will be able to exhibit & sell their work in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Michal Miszta, architect, self-taught artist, was born in Poland in 1980. He received his Masters degree in architecture at Wroclaw University of Technology in 2005 and he is currently based in Dublin where he works as an architect with an Irish practice Whilst enjoying designing buildings by day, he is uses his manual skills to create custom models and toys in his free time He takes his inspiration from iconic movies, pop-culture and comic books. Many of his custom vinyl figures are painted portraits and caricatures of characters from his favourite movies. He often utilizes his sculpting skills to reshape blank toys with lots of polymer clay to create completely new pieces. His one-of-a-kind engagement ring boxes, which he designs for people from around the world, has made him known among these looking for original and personalized gifts.
