About this Platform

MADL is a designer art toy platform created by Jeremy “MAD” Madl, one of the pioneers of the urban vinyl toy movement. First released in 2002, MADL figures are known for their bold, blocky shape, clean lines, and graffiti-inspired aesthetics. They were among the first American-designed vinyl toys to gain popularity, bridging the gap between street art, hip-hop culture, and designer collectibles. The MAD*L figure typically has a distinctive angular form with a broad head and a compact body, providing a great canvas for artists to customize. Over the years, the platform has featured numerous limited-edition releases, artist collaborations, and hand-painted customs, making it a highly sought-after collectible in the art toy scene. East Coast meets West Coast as NYC based kaNO and San Francisco based Jesse Hernandez battle it out in the streets of New York City. Bringing fresh new takes to each others signature styles you'll be able to see their work in a brand new way. Immortal Studios is the website of artist Jesse Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez’s art combines traditional indigenous styles and themes with an urban street sensibility. His work utilizes bold line work, sharp colors, and dynamic imagery across many different mediums, most widely known for his custom painted toys, illustration, and canvas work. His style also draws upon his animation background. Hernandez currently works full time for The Filipino Channel as Art Director/Co-Creator of the cartoon series “The Nutshack” , and creates freelance artwork through his company, Immortal Studios. His artwork has been featured in many books and magazines such as Maxim, YRB, Giant Robot, Clutter, Playtimes, Dot Dot Dash, Great new Characters, Flux, and has participated in art shows all around the world. He currently has toys out with Kaching Brands, and Toyqube, and future releases with Kid Robot, Upper Deck, Minigods, and Super Rad Toys.
