About this work
A toy resembling the Android mascot, but it has been customized to look like Darth Vader from the Star Wars franchise. The toy is predominantly black and white, with detailed facial features and attire that mimic Darth Vader's iconic appearance. The toy has a round head with two antennae-like protrusions on top, a black mask with white facial details, and a black body with white accents. The toy's arms and legs are also black with white detailing, and it has red accents on its hands and feet. The toy stands upright against a black background.Born into the greyness of England at the end of the Seventies, by the age of four Jon-Paul Kaiser knew that what he wanted to do in life was a draw. From that point he rarely strayed from that path; scribbling and doodling his way through School, College and University. After working with Porlzilla, Jon-Paul decided to go it alone concentrating at first on the toy customization scene, building up a name and strong reputation for himself with his stark Black & White custom style, influenced by comic book art, film noir & Ukiyo-e prints. This lead to him being approached by established toy producers for designs for their platform toys. Principally amongst these are Toy2R who have released numerous JPK Platforms. Andrew, an avid Android user himself, teamed up with some friends at Google to bring their little green mascot to life. Series 1 features 12 different designs in blind-boxed cases of 16. Pick up a few and try your luck, or grab a whole case to secure a nearly-full set. Be on the lookout for some super rare chase editions. Each vinyl figure stands 3” tall and features a rotating head and arms.
