About this Artist
With over ten years of experience in the design and ad biz we started Delicious simply as a rock poster design/screenprinting hobby but by 2008 it had quickly grown into a full-time design and illustration studio. Over that span we had gone from designing rock posters for bands you’ve never heard of for lunch money to designing and illustrating for some of the most recognizable brands in the world. Perhaps our secret to success is that for every client, big or small, we strive to create the most insightful, well crafted, impactful and uncompromising work that we can. So, no matter if you are a band trying to put out your first record or you run the largest internet browser in the world you know that we will treat your project with the utmost importance. Mondo is pop culture brand, built for collectors. We work with incredible artists who share our passions to create posters, soundtracks, toys, and more – products that share a rare, unexpectedly vivid and timeless quality. Mondo humbly began as a quasi-bootleg t-shirt shop located in the basement storage hallway of a single-screen movie theater. In 2007, Mondo began working with major artists and studios to create beautifully designed licensed products. We started with posters, then soundtrack LPs, and finally toys and other items, and have blossomed into the ever-expanding hydra of entertainment collectibles that we are today. In 2022, we joined the Funko-verse, helping us to continue bringing fans and friends our curated approach to pop culture. Mondo, the collectible art division of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, will feature the iconic "Universal Monsters" for its next gallery show, which runs from October 19 through November 10, featuring both prints and original works of art from dozens of world-renowned artists including Martin Ansin, Rick Baker, Jason Edmiston, JC Richard, Drew Struzan, Ken Taylor, Kevin Tong and many more. The gallery opening on October 19 will be from 7:00 - 10:00pm with regular hours to follow for the show's duration. The Mondo Gallery is located at 4115 Guadalupe St. in Austin, TX. Watercolor is a water-based painting medium characterized by its transparency and luminosity, achieved through finely ground pigments mixed with a binder like gum arabic and water, applied to a surface with a brush.
