Dragon Boy Tunes

A solo exhibit featuring the works of Martin Hsu. Dragon Boy, a series of paintings depicting the adventures of a boy in dragon suit on his way to find his roots in a foreign land. With his kirin dog, Blackie by his side, they travel between reality and fantasy. They fly over the tallest of mountains and dive into the deepest of rivers while making new friends with magical creatures of all kinds. Dragon Boy aims to remind everyone to never forget the joy of being a kid, flying high, and smiling big! Martin will also be debuting the "Dragon Boy" Designer Toy Prototype that evening. Dragatomi is Sacramento's premier retailer and art gallery for some of the coolest designer figures and items inspired by pop and urban culture. We carry many rare and limited edition pieces from some of the top artists and companies in our industry. In addition to being a retailer for some of the coolest "Art Toys", we also carry a selection of books, magazines, apparel, prints, Ironlak Spray Paint, and Krink products. Visit our art gallery within our location to check out some of your favorite artists featuring one-of-a-kind work. We open a new exhibit once a month on every 2nd Saturday. Martin Hsu is a horse and two fish, of Chinese blood and Taiwan born. He draws inspiration from nature, animals, blush in the young and wrinkles in the old. He is grateful for the road that's been paved by ones before him, and hopes to express his gratitude by taking each step firmly and respectfully. Above all, he loves his family, honors his heritage, treasures his friends and misses his dog. Martin is based out of Los Angeles and has a BFA from Calfornia State University at Fullerton. His background includes a long history in character design and animation including work for Disney and Nickelodeon, as well as being the creator of the popular Ruby Gloom character. He has participated in exhibits in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami and New York.
