In 2003 Sket One started designing toys for such heavyweight toymakers including Kidrobot, Solid Industries, MINDstyle, Wheaty Wheat, Red Magic, Circus Punks, and more. Always eager to explore additional outlets, Sket One has succeeded in exhibiting his custom work both nationally and internationally in various galleries and shows such as Night & Day (NYC), You Asked for It (London/Birmingham), and I Am 8-bit (LA), Kidrobot Dunny and Munny Shows (NYC), and Beyond the Cel (AZ). Sket One displays a passion for uniting distinct components of pop culture into pieces of art that are startlingly cohesive and original. Such innovation has led Sket One to such clients as Universal Music, EMI, DC Comics, Ford, Coca-Cola, Silent Skateboards, and Grind King Trucks. A Munny is a figure created by Kidrobot and made out of vinyl with movable joints. The initial idea was undertaken by taggers/ street artists/ street art designs and toys from (illegal artists) who have come to bring back their work legally to the public to display their works. The figures are blank and the owner can decorate them using pens, pencils, markers, paint, and other supplies. Alternatively, some people commission artists to design Munnys for them, or artists design them to sell. In MUNNYWORLD, you can do anything you want! MUNNY, BUB, TRIKKY, RAFFY, and ROOZ are the soft, super smooth vinyl figures that make up MUNNYWORLD. Each one is a blank canvas, and all ready for scribbling, piercing, painting, posing, piling, dressing up, and sculpting into forms straight from your imagination or you can keep them just as they are. See how great you truly are. Do amazing things and create more than ever before. And, most importantly, have fun with MUNNYWORLD Immortal Studios is the website of artist Jesse Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez’s art combines traditional indigenous styles and themes with an urban street sensibility. His work utilizes bold line work, sharp colors, and dynamic imagery across many different mediums, most widely known for his custom painted toys, illustration, and canvas work. His style also draws upon his animation background. Hernandez currently works full time for The Filipino Channel as Art Director/Co-Creator of the cartoon series “The Nutshack” , and creates freelance artwork through his company, Immortal Studios. His artwork has been featured in many books and magazines such as Maxim, YRB, Giant Robot, Clutter, Playtimes, Dot Dot Dash, Great new Characters, Flux, and has participated in art shows all around the world. He currently has toys out with Kaching Brands, and Toyqube, and future releases with Kid Robot, Upper Deck, Minigods, and Super Rad Toys.
