About this Event

"Día del Helado Muerto," a custom toy show using Brutherford's Ice Scream Man platform, will have an opening reception on Saturday, November 10th at 6PM until 9PM and be available for viewing through January 5th, 2013 at The Clutter Gallery, 163 Main St., Beacon, NY 12508. Clutter Gallery is a leading contemporary art gallery specializing in the vibrant world of designer toys and lowbrow art. Frank Mysterio is a Mexican artist and designer known for his bold, psychedelic, and graffiti-inspired art toys. His work blends elements of Mexican folklore, lucha libre, lowbrow art, and street culture, resulting in eye-catching, highly detailed designs that often feature skulls, masks, and intricate patterns. Mysterio is particularly recognized for his use of bright neon colors, airbrushed gradients, and tattoo-like linework, giving his figures a unique and unmistakable aesthetic. He frequently customizes sofubi (soft vinyl) toys, adding his signature artistic flair to established platforms while also creating original designs.
