In 2004 Charles Crisler graduated from Ball State University with a BFA in Graphic Design. While completing his education Charles interned for Englehart Dicken (now iDiz Inc.), an esteemed Indianapolis design agency, where he first honed his print design talents. After showing his design aptitude and hard work ethic, the agency eagerly hired him full-time. Working four years under the agencies steeped advertising prowess, Charles lead many design campaigns within institutions of finance, industry, and technology. Charles founded 27 Design Co. in 2007 where he remains the sole designer and proprietor. While working for both 27DC and iDiz, Inc. Charles served 2 years as a board member for Step Up 4 Kids, a non-profit foundation benefiting children. There he advised marketing decisions, designed event promotions, and managed printed materials for 2 highly successful fund raising events. Privileged to work for a reputable design agency as well as the opportunity to work independently, Charles has gathered more than 8 years of diversified design experience. With these two unique experiences, coupled with his exclusive work for non-profit organizations Charles has proven a great asset to his clients and community. Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing or pumping ink past the threads of the woven mesh in the open areas. Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of silk or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance, and ink is forced through the mesh onto the printing surface. It is also known as silkscreen, seriography, and serigraph.
