Mondo is pop culture brand, built for collectors. We work with incredible artists who share our passions to create posters, soundtracks, toys, and more – products that share a rare, unexpectedly vivid and timeless quality. Mondo humbly began as a quasi-bootleg t-shirt shop located in the basement storage hallway of a single-screen movie theater. In 2007, Mondo began working with major artists and studios to create beautifully designed licensed products. We started with posters, then soundtrack LPs, and finally toys and other items, and have blossomed into the ever-expanding hydra of entertainment collectibles that we are today. In 2022, we joined the Funko-verse, helping us to continue bringing fans and friends our curated approach to pop culture. A commercial illustrator since 1996, Jason has created work for advertising, editorial, packaging and book publishing clients internationally. He is a traditional artist, painting in acrylic on watercolour paper or wood panel. His style ranges from realism to exaggeration, usually emphasizing the figure, and a certain degree of humour or caricature. Jason is often asked to emulate a specific genre of illustration, such as movie posters, pulp covers or retro style advertising. His fondness for pop culture, especially movies and toys often creep into his work. Lithography is a printmaking technique that involves drawing on a flat surface—traditionally limestone, though modern lithographs often use metal plates—with a greasy substance like a specialized crayon or ink. The fundamental principle behind lithography is that oil and water repel each other.
