Gallery1988 (WEST) is proud to announce the opening of "SPACE: The Gallery Show," a group exhibit curated by artist Mike Mitchell, this Friday, June 21st. The show, which will celebrate the past, present & future of space exploration and the awesomeness that is the universe, will feature over 50 amazing artists all working in many different mediums. The show will feature new artwork from G1988 regulars like Mitchell, Scott C., Andrew DeGraff, Olly Moss, N.C. Winters and Justin White, but also include new names to the gallery, like Jeffrey Brown, Dave Correia, John Martz and Emily Partridge. This show promises to be new, unique and memorable - and people may want to get to the gallery early for "first in line giveaways." Acrylic paint is fast drying paint containing pigment suspension in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paints can be diluted with water, but become water-resistant when dry. Depending on how much the paint is diluted (with water) or modified with acrylic gels, media, or pastes, the finished acrylic painting can resemble a watercolor or an oil painting, or have its own unique characteristics not attainable with other media.
