In Alison's life, color has always been a way to express feelings. She wants people to understand that using the vocal fold for communicating is not necessary; the non-verbal behavior increases the bond between people and is an intimate way of communicating with each other. As such, Zukies are mysterious characters that do not talk; they have thought bubbles and facial expressions. Zukies are about color. Zukies intend to generate emotions through their visual thoughts and thats how they create that bond with us. Watercolor is a water-based painting medium characterized by its transparency and luminosity, achieved through finely ground pigments mixed with a binder like gum arabic and water, applied to a surface with a brush.
