About this work

A sculpture that appears to be a bear with a woman's face and upper body integrated into its design. The bear has a rounded, almost egg-like shape, and the woman's face is depicted in a serene, closed-eye expression. The woman's long hair flows down, blending with the bear's body. The entire sculpture is predominantly black and white, with the woman's face and upper body being white against the black bear.Born into the greyness of England at the end of the Seventies, by the age of four Jon-Paul Kaiser knew that what he wanted to do in life was a draw. From that point he rarely strayed from that path; scribbling and doodling his way through School, College and University. After working with Porlzilla, Jon-Paul decided to go it alone concentrating at first on the toy customization scene, building up a name and strong reputation for himself with his stark Black & White custom style, influenced by comic book art, film noir & Ukiyo-e prints. This lead to him being approached by established toy producers for designs for their platform toys. Principally amongst these are Toy2R who have released numerous JPK Platforms. "We are pleased as punch to announce our third Cavey show! Cavey turns 3 this year and to celebrate we are putting on a custom show. In a change from our usual custom plush show format, this show will feature over 40 vinyl Caveys customized by artists worldwide. The show will take place at the Fleet River Bakery in London where we held Caveys 1st birthday party in 2011. We hope you can join us for a slice of birthday cake!"
