About this Manufacturer
ToyQube & Gallery is located in Flushing, New York, straight out of the Q borough. The big apple is right in the heart of the exploding toy scene. Many of the most sought after artist/designers originated from these very streets. You might notice that many of out products seem to be influenced by street culture, TQ represents this in the fullest. We bring you not only designer vinyl toys and other collectable figures, but we also carry kicks, clothing, and other gear that comes with the lifestyle. Most of our toys come directly from Japan, Hong Kong and other European countries - too many to name. And of course we carry a variety of figures by local designers in the states. We are just trying to satisfy everyone from the vinyl collectors to the sneaker heads. I've been professionally illustrating and designing toys for over 13 years. Over my career I've worked with clients such as Kidrobot, YUM Brands, Pepsi, Scion, NFL, Upper Deck, Mattel, Spinmasters Toys, and Cartoon Network on a variety of todays hottest and largest brands. Collaborating on projects ranging from promotions to packaging, character design to retail and premium toys. I've worked non-stop on my own licensed artwork and toy brands under the “MAD Toy Design” label for the past 7 years. My first production figure line called the MAD*L™ has been one of the hottest brands on the collector market since it first released in 2004 and continues to fly off the shelves globally with each new release. I keep a full arsenal of new products in development at all times ranging from toys, tee's, prints, and more. I commissioned this custom 6" Kanser from UK artist Cris Rose back in 2009. This one-of-a-kind artwork originally started life as a 6" ToyQube Kanser figure and Cris used a bright-orange candy paint and found objects to transformed it into a gorgeous rusty, fire orange robot. He did an amazing job of capturing that weathered, rusted, oily metal look with really nice textures throughout. The helmet on the Kanser is removable and stands on it's own so it can be displayed on or next to the main figure. Signed & Numbered (1/1) on the bottom of the feet.
