Rivet is a designer toy shop and micro art gallery in Columbus, Ohio. Serving the local and online community since 2007. We specialize in blind box toys and other unique finds. Our art focus is modern pop surrealism and illustration. Acrylic paint is fast drying paint containing pigment suspension in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paints can be diluted with water, but become water-resistant when dry. Depending on how much the paint is diluted (with water) or modified with acrylic gels, media, or pastes, the finished acrylic painting can resemble a watercolor or an oil painting, or have its own unique characteristics not attainable with other media. Solo Exhibition of the art of Andrew Bell. Andrew was born in England in 1978. His family moved several times until settling into the eastern US in the mid 1980's. He has lived and worked in New York since 1996. Andrew's work spans a wide spectrum of mediums from illustrations and paintings to toys and sculptures. Much of his work is brought together by a sense of humor that often belies a more serious and sombre message. His work has been featured in solo and group gallery shows from LA to Paris and has been covered by publications such as The New York Times and Wired.
