About this Platform

"Kirk Rebellion" is the signature dead lemming character by Lilo Krebernik (aka. 0717 aka. deadlemming). A guy in his mid-30ies, former snowboard professional. In all the subcultures that he's involved with, age is not the important thing anymore, and the group of people he skates with, snowboards with, or works on art projects are anything from 10 to 70. It’s like-minded people, and probably has to do with the common goal of having fun. The everyday passion is still there: he broke his hand last summer for the first time in 25years of skateboarding , still had to paint a 22ft tall character sculpture 3 days later for the opening of the self-built concrete skatebowl! ;) Self-produced art toys are designer collectibles created and manufactured independently by the artist or small teams without the backing of a large toy company or mass-market brand. These toys are often highly personal, artistic expressions and are usually made in limited runs. Key Characteristics include independent creation where the artist is in control of the entire process from concept, sculpting, and painting to production and packaging. These are usually made in small batches, often 10–100 pieces, which adds to their rarity, made using materials like resin, sofubi (Japanese soft vinyl), or 3D-printed components. The adhocPAD is a creative hub, office space, showroom and workshop located in Vienna. It's the homebase for Kathi Macheiner (sixxa) and Lilo Krebernik, but also hosts various other creatives and offers a small artist in residence program. A screenprinting facility, indoor miniramp and frequent exhibitions make this place a unique off space. Visiting artists include Gary Baseman, Joe Ledbetter, Flying Förtress, Inga Guzyte and more.
