Klav, the moniker of Kevin Derken, is a distinguished artist and toy customizer based in Connecticut, USA. Renowned for his unique approach to customizing designer toys, Klav integrates weathered, rust-like finishes and intricate paint schemes into his creations. His artistic style is deeply influenced by 1980s Japanese science fiction modeling techniques, which he learned during his early modeling experiences.   As the sole member of the Creeping Death Robot Club, Klav has developed a reputation for his exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. His work often features custom figures with meticulously applied paintwork, reflecting a deep appreciation for Japanese sci-fi aesthetics. myplasticheart is honored and excited to present CODE RED, a new solo exhibition featuring the artwork of Quiccs and his widely popular designs in the form of paintings, customs, production toys as well as collaborative works with several New York City artists.
