Atom Plastic and Infart present: HELLO MY NAME IS SEÑOR BLANCO From 5th September to 5th October 2008 Bassano del Grappa Civic Museum houses the first Italian canvas toy launch event HELLO MY NAME IS SEÑOR BLANCO. Art toys are created by artists and designers. They represent the expression of an international movement which has its origins in Japanese design, lowbrow art and street culture. Produced by Atom Plastic and designed by Julian Pastorino, Señor Blanco is a white DIY toy on which the artist can express himself like the painter on canvas. More than 50 artists, illustrators, and graphic designers customized Señor Blanco for the biggest custom toy show ever made in Italy. A melting pot in which creativity and styles will get mixed together to welcome the first toy by Atom Plastic. The exhibition HELLO MY NAME IS SEÑOR BLANCO is curated by Pierantonio Degasperi and Atom Plastic, in collaboration with Infart. I love to draw and I believe that a smile is the cheapest way to be happy, that's why I am always trying to capture the more comical side of life and make it a simple but funny and rememberable work. I take my inspiration from my quiet life, the sweet Giusy, our pugs Ozzy and Nena and Cyrus the Bullmastiff, the Kiss music, vintage Playboy magazines, Seymour Chwast, Raymond Savignac, Ryohei Yanagihara, Alberto Sordi, Monica Vitti and every funny thing I come across. In 2004 I founded Mutado, a creative studio, in Milan. Señor Blanco is a child, is a bear, is a monster, is whatever you want it to be! Take your paints and let your creativity flow! Designed and sculpted by Julian Pastorino, Señor Blanco is the very first Italian canvas toy. With its soft design and wide surface, Señor Blanco is the perfect canvas for every artist.
