Atomic Sketch Event is a monthly live art event entering its third year of awesome nights of art-making and drink-drinking. Atomic Sketch happens monthly at the Green Eye Lounge in Chicago's Bucktown from 6-10 pm. Each month a panel of established and emerging artists from Chicago - and even visiting artists from around the country - is selected to create original works of art live at the event. These pieces then hang on the walls and sell for extremely affordable prices. Artists whose work priced in the hundreds of dollars often sell work for $10 or $20! This format allows artists a great community to network in and art enthusiasts a great way to score real art for affordable prices. Artists do not need to be on the panel to participate at the Atomic Sketch Event. Artists are encouraged to bring their own supplies and sketch and hang their work to sell. Atomic Sketch Event takes no commission on work sold that is created at the event. Mighty Muggs is a line of stylized vinyl figures originally produced by Hasbro, launched in 2007. These figures are characterized by their unique, circular heads, exaggerated facial expressions, and a simple, yet playful design that has become iconic in the world of collectible toys. Mighty Muggs figures were designed to appeal to collectors of all ages, especially those who enjoyed pop culture, comics, and movies. I am an Artist based out of Chicago, IL. I’ve been illustrating, painting, and doing anything and everything art for the past 7 years. I’ve done various works from t-shirt design to logos to illustrating books to commission pieces. For the past year, I’ve gotten the most exposure for my custom work on vinyl toys. My work has been featured on multiple website and online forums as well as in print. Mid 2009 I developed a character named “Jonny Hancock” based on one of Chicago’s greatest buildings. Jonny Hancock is currently selling at Rotofugi, a designer toy store in Chicago. One of my latest custom designer toys was just featured on Kid Robot’s blog -The Kronikle. I like just to BE CREATIVE.
