About this Venue

Clutter Gallery is a leading contemporary art gallery specializing in the vibrant world of designer toys and lowbrow art. Located in the artistic community of Beacon, New York (home to the world famous Dia museum), Clutter Gallery has established itself as a premier destination for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Since its inception in 2011, the gallery has been dedicated to showcasing the work of both established and emerging artists who push the boundaries of pop culture, street and low-brow art. In addition to its dynamic exhibitions, Clutter Gallery also houses an impressive permanent collection of Designer Toys, curated by the team behind its renowned print publication. This collection serves as a testament to the gallery’s deep-rooted connection to the designer toy movement and its commitment to preserving and celebrating this unique art form. Chomp originated as a quick sketch by Connor McConnell in high school and was later brought to life by animator Benjamin Su. We began releasing pins and t shirts in June of 2018 and our first Chomp vinyl figures debuted in December that same year. We're continuing to grow as a company and expand into new unique products. We firmly believe in collaborating with talented artists and we'll always look into new opportunities to do so. In the snowy highlands of Beacon, New York exists the legend of a big, wooly beast that roams the mountains. Large footprints and clumps of hair have been found on the hillside, and the locals are terrified. Known in the area as CHOMP, this forest creature who stalks the woods is nothing to be scared of, in fact, it’s quite the opposite. He’s a gentle giant that comes in many forms. Chris RWK is an American artist born in 1977 and raised in New York City. His work is deeply influenced by the imagery and ideas he encountered during his childhood in the 1970s and 1980s, including television, comic books, films, music, and notably, robots. Chris RWK’s art features a distinctive visual language characterized by vibrant colors and lively strokes. His paintings often depict robots and other figures set against colorful cityscapes, reflecting the vibrancy and complexity of urban life. Drawing from his “mental journal,” a collection of images and ideas stored from his youth, his work references popular culture and everyday musings, invoking feelings of comfort and familiarity.
