About this Artist

Lives and works in Vienna, Austria. He is Illustrator, Street- and Graffitiartist and mainly known for his prolific street art concept, the RABBIT EYE MOVEMENT. „One story I want to tell to the audience. This one is all about “holy media” and how it brainfucks us. You see a lot of old stuff which I recycle because it’s been part of my youth. Stuff what I liked, cartoons I loved like the teenage mutant ninja turtles or skate symbols like the screaming hand. Many of our generation have a connection to those things because we know it and mostly because we’ve been watching TV all our childhood. At least that happened to me, hahaha. But I think we all would be painting like we paint without the media influence Pop art would not be existent and that’s our roots. I call our generation the NINTENDO GENERATION and you will see, it’s already happening.“ INOPERAbLE is an art space that deals with Contemporary Urban Culture with a focus on Street Art, a topic not often dealt with in Vienna. Street Art is a broad definition for a contemporary art movement which takes place outside in the open space. Street Art came out of the Graffiti movement of the 70’s in New York and other major cities. In general Street Art deals mostly with Stickers, Posters, Stencils, Sculptures, Graffiti and Installations that are spread with different mediums such as Spraypaint, Brushes, Markers, or Glue. The art form has fairly few borders but what is most important is originality, creativity, and staying active. Street Art is being embraced in every major city by the Art community, galleries, and by museums like the Tate Modern or the MoMA. Auction Houses like Sotherbys have seen Art works from the Street reaching record prices. The INOPERAbLE Gallery was founded as a project and Studio space in January 2006 but moved and reopened in September of 2008 at Burggasse 24, 1070 Vienna. Since its inception the gallery has shown over 100 artists including C215 (fr), Die Made (at), Lastplak (nl), Busk (at), Nychos (at), Christian Eisenberger (at), Aryz (sp), ACC (us), Permanent Acrylic paint is fast drying paint containing pigment suspension in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paints can be diluted with water, but become water-resistant when dry. Depending on how much the paint is diluted (with water) or modified with acrylic gels, media, or pastes, the finished acrylic painting can resemble a watercolor or an oil painting, or have its own unique characteristics not attainable with other media.
