Andrea Kang has created a fanciful world filled with girls, bears, and little creatures. Her narratives explore nostalgia and the blurred lines that exist between dreams, reality, and memories. After graduating with her Masters from the Rhode Island School of Design she worked for Hasbro Inc. designing toys. Since then she's taught, participated in gallery exhibitions and dedicated her time to freelance illustration and product design work. She also started a design collective with illustrator Nathan Jurevicius under the moniker 'Harley & Boss.' Toy Tokyo is a renowned specialty toy store located in New York City’s East Village at 91 Second Avenue, between East 5th and East 6th Streets. Established in 2000 by owner Israel “Lev” Levarek, the store has become a haven for collectors and enthusiasts, offering a diverse selection of toys and collectibles.   The store specializes in a wide range of items, including vintage and contemporary toys, action figures, designer art toys, and pop culture memorabilia. Much of its inventory is imported from Japan and Hong Kong, featuring products related to anime, superheroes, and iconic franchises. Notably, Toy Tokyo offers exclusive items from brands such as KAWS, Funko, Ron English, and Medicom Toy. Nathan Jurevicius is an illustrator, director, toy designer, author, and concept artist. He specializes in creating immersive worlds populated by unique characters. One of his most acclaimed concepts is Scarygirl, which includes an ever-evolving collection of individuals expressed through limited-edition figures, video games, and animation. Since the early 2000s, Nathan has had brief stints in London as an editorial illustrator and in Providence, Rhode Island, where he freelanced for Hasbro Inc. In 2013, he became a professor at the Pictoplasma Academy in Berlin, where he co-tutors a master class focused on character design. Between 2018 and 2019, he served as the Creative Director at Dark Slope, a studio that develops location-based virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences. He is also recognized for the Australian Academy Award-winning "PELEDA" universe, which is part of his ongoing series on owl-centric Baltic mythology and includes collaborations with Kidrobot and IKEA. Currently, Nathan travels between Canada, Australia and Europe as a freelance artist across various media, including games, animation, toys, and publishing.
