About this Artist
Pez means fish in Spanish and the street artist known as “Pez” has been making people around the world smile since 1999. Based in the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain, Pez’s iconic fish tags are recognized throughout Europe, North America, and East Asia Montana Colors (MTN) is a producer/brand for spraypaint, located in Spain. The company was started 1994 by Jordi Rubio and Miquel Galea, with the help of local writers Kapi and Moockie. They are the original Montana paint, collaborting with a lot of artists, setting up their own shops to support the scene etc. Spray paint is a versatile, fast-drying aerosol medium known for vibrant colors, smooth coverage on diverse surfaces (metal, wood, canvas, paper), and its role in street art/graffiti, offering artists speed, portability, and unique control through different nozzles (caps) for detailed or broad applications, often used in mixed media for backgrounds or layering. While historically for graffiti, modern art brands offer low-odor, pigment-rich, water-based options for studio use, demanding practice for technique but enabling quick, large-scale art.
