Sakura Godzilla

Candie Bolton is a self-taught California-based artist known for her colorful artwork inspired by traditional and modern Japanese culture. Candie's professional career began with graphic design at a Hot Rod shop, where she was introduced to the world of lowbrow art. This eventually led her to venture into the toy scene, where she started airbrushing and producing vinyl toys in 2013.. Godzilla toys are a major part of kaiju (monster) culture and have been produced in various styles and forms since the 1950s. Inspired by Toho’s iconic Godzilla films, these toys range from simple children’s playthings to highly detailed collector’s items. The designs often capture Godzilla’s fearsome appearance, including his scaly skin, powerful tail, spiky dorsal fins, and atomic breath pose.
