Speaking about her latest exhibition at Corey Helford Gallery, Camilla commented: “With my ‘Dances with Dreams’ showing, I wanted to invite audiences to explore the hauntingly beautiful states of the subconscious mind - while awake and in dream. The feeling as though they were walking through a colorful and serene dreamscape when pondering whether the girl in each portraiture is dreaming or whether she is the viewer's dream.” The collection looks to further develop the surrealist themes of her signature doe-eyed females and their companions. Based in Vancouver, BC, Camilla is an Italo-Canadian artist best known for making waves in the fine art and comic book industries with her surrealist yet mainstream pop paint style that feature manga inspired wide-eyed girls and melting rainbows.
