Shadow Mascot

The Kidrobot Mascot, often referred to as “Bot,” is the emblematic figure of Kidrobot, a pioneer in the designer toy industry founded in 2002 by Paul Budnitz. This character embodies the brand’s fusion of art and collectible toys, serving as a canvas for various artistic interpretations. Bot is characterized by its minimalist, robotic design with a rounded head and antenna. Over the years, Kidrobot has released multiple versions of Bot, each showcasing unique themes and collaborations. The Kidrobot Mascot has become a symbol of the designer toy movement, representing the intersection of contemporary art and collectible culture. Its adaptability has allowed artists and designers to imprint their unique styles, making it a beloved figure among collectors and art enthusiasts alike. I'm Shadoe delgado and I'm a San Francisco based artist. I sculpt, sketch, sew, paint and draw. My latest obsession is making custom toys. I really enjoy making toys based of my fine-art ceramic pieces. The pieces incorporate the subject matter of ego, personae, shadow, and masks. I'm doing the same thing with my toys however they're more colorful and playful.
