Toy Tokyo is a renowned specialty toy store located in New York City’s East Village at 91 Second Avenue, between East 5th and East 6th Streets. Established in 2000 by owner Israel “Lev” Levarek, the store has become a haven for collectors and enthusiasts, offering a diverse selection of toys and collectibles.   The store specializes in a wide range of items, including vintage and contemporary toys, action figures, designer art toys, and pop culture memorabilia. Much of its inventory is imported from Japan and Hong Kong, featuring products related to anime, superheroes, and iconic franchises. Notably, Toy Tokyo offers exclusive items from brands such as KAWS, Funko, Ron English, and Medicom Toy. In Alison's life, color has always been a way to express feelings. She wants people to understand that using the vocal fold for communicating is not necessary; the non-verbal behavior increases the bond between people and is an intimate way of communicating with each other. As such, Zukies are mysterious characters that do not talk; they have thought bubbles and facial expressions. Zukies are about color. Zukies intend to generate emotions through their visual thoughts and thats how they create that bond with us. This toy show is to expose a little sample of the vast network of toy makers world wide nation wide, and local from indie, small toy producers, customizers, to top designers and artist, that form part of the thread of the toy community, critter, monster, horror, surrealist, surrealist pop, and contemporary, urban art. Some of these toys are customized toys from urban vinyl toys, Kaiju inspired toys or Kaiju custom toys, Original sculpts, Original resin productions, small limited vinyl independent runs, contemporary sculptures, Plush and mash up’s.
