About this Venue
We carry a wide selection of urban vinyl, plush, blind boxed and designer toys. We also carry t-shirts and pop surreal and lowbrow art from local artists. MADL is a designer art toy platform created by Jeremy “MAD” Madl, one of the pioneers of the urban vinyl toy movement. First released in 2002, MADL figures are known for their bold, blocky shape, clean lines, and graffiti-inspired aesthetics. They were among the first American-designed vinyl toys to gain popularity, bridging the gap between street art, hip-hop culture, and designer collectibles. The MAD*L figure typically has a distinctive angular form with a broad head and a compact body, providing a great canvas for artists to customize. Over the years, the platform has featured numerous limited-edition releases, artist collaborations, and hand-painted customs, making it a highly sought-after collectible in the art toy scene. Raised in the great white north of Canada, on sugar-infested cereal, 80’s music, Peanuts comics, and classic Nintendo games Cameron Tiede has always stayed a kid. In the 90’s, he ventured down to Southern California to thaw out and attend Art Center College of Design where he studied illustration. Cameron’s signature style is infused with raw energetic characters and stimulating colour. Described as “illuminated innocence,” his work is as playful as it is honest. Currently he draws, paints and designs for himself and others. He is working on a number of limited edition art toys which are due out this year. Some of his clients have included Disney, Mattel, Nickelodeon, and Warner Brothers. His work is both exhibited and collected around the world.
