Igor Ventura is an art director, motion designer, illustrator and customizer from Brazil. He started his career working in the account and planning departments of advertising agencies while still in college. Before his graduation in 2001, he decided to focus on design and started working in the creative department. Today, he is a motion designer in an audiovisual studio in Sao Paulo, and an art toy designer and customizer on his spare time. Igor ranked 3rd place in in the Kidrobot Munnyworld: MunnyMunth Contest in 2010, was a finalist in the CE Planet Toy Global Contest I in 2010, was a finalist in the Designer Toy Awards 2015 in the Custom of the year category, had a production piece in Blankie series 1 by Aartin, a Dunny in the Art of War series by Kidrobot and 3 different designs in Android series 6 by Dead Zebra. Rotofugi Designer Toy Store & Gallery, established in July 2004, is located on the border of Chicago's Lincoln Park and Lakeview neighborhoods in a beautiful vintage building. Since opening, Rotofugi has grown to become one of the world's premier sellers of designer toys from artists all over the world. Rotofugi features a diverse selection of vinyl figures, capsule toys, plush and more from both eastern and western designers. The adjoining Rotofugi Gallery features monthly art exhibits by a range of both local and nationally known artists. Beginning in late 2007 Rotofugi partnered with Chicago based product development specialist Squibbles Ink to begin producing artist-designed figures by the talented designers located in their home town.
