About this Venue
In the beginning, Redefine was one of Orlando’s first galleries dedicated 100% to Street, Urban, and Contemporary Art. Redefine Gallery has since departed from Magnolia Ave, and found a new happy home on Orange Ave & Pine Street and has a new partner in Management. Still founded and co-managed by Peter Van Flores, new partner Steve Parker takes an equally big role by becoming not only the co-manager but also the person who will put the new location over the top with his ideas for more diverse and themed showings. Though (in floor space) Redefine is much smaller now, in audience it is about 500% larger. Now part of the famous Orlando CityArts Factory building, the new space is open 5 days a week including the traditional 3rd Thursday Gallery Hop. You can now expect Art, Installations, and Murals by not only top notch local artists but now also by nationally recognized and traveling artists as well. In efforts to inspire viewers and creators on the spot, Redefine also carries a small run of top quality Urban Art Supples such as; Molotow, Ironlak, Molotow, On The Run, and Montana available in a variation of Spray Paint, Markers, & Inks. Emelie Jensen was born in a town called Norrköping in Southern Sweden. This is where she developed a burning passion for art and design in all its forms. Love for Art My love for art has always been there. I have been drawing and doodling since I can remember. This has always been my escape and my passion. I started my career as a professional artist about 12 years ago. This was the time when I decided that I wanted to make a living out of my art as a tattooist. I spent many years studying the art of tattooing along side skilled and experienced tattooists and one day I found myself in the seat where I always imagined myself. After practicing the profession for some time I didn't find tattooing as rewarding, art wise, as I thought I would. After allot of thinking and realization, I decided to give up my dream to find a new path. And so I did. I left Sweden to work in the UK and this is where I am still laying down the building blocks of my future. I started studying 3D Computer Animation. After three years of studying I came out of Swansea Metropolitan University with a 2:1 KAWS’ Companion is one of the most iconic figures created by the artist Brian Donnelly, known as KAWS. The Companion character features a cartoon-like figure with a skull-shaped head, crossed-out eyes, and gloved hands, resembling classic animation characters but with a distinct melancholic and introspective expression. Since its debut in the late 1990s, Companion has been released in various forms, including vinyl toys, large-scale sculptures, and limited-edition collaborations. The character is often depicted in different poses, such as covering its face in distress, reclining, floating, or standing tall, reflecting themes of isolation, vulnerability, and contemplation.
