K.Olin Tribu is a French company specializing in the creation of porcelain sculptures that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary art. Established in 2009 by Matthieu Dutheil, a passionate collector of art toys, and a porcelain manufacturer, the company is based in Limoges, France—a region renowned for its high-quality porcelain production. K.Olin Tribu offers an alternative to vinyl figurines by producing sculptures made and decorated in Limoges, bearing the official “Porcelaine de Limoges” label. The company collaborates with graphic designers, illustrators, toy designers, and artists from graffiti, street art, and contemporary art scenes. Born and raised in Toba, Japan, Yoskay Yamamoto moved to the United States at the age of 15. A self-trained illustrator, Yamamoto's artistic tastes expanded as he fell in love with the urban culture of the West coast. Yamamoto discovered a way to fuse the two different cultural backgrounds together into his work. Yamamoto nostalgically blends pop iconic characters from his new Western home with tradi- tional and mythical Japanese elements, balancing his Asian heritage with urban pop art.
