About this Artist

Filth is the nom de guerre of designer and artist Lucas Irwin. Best known for his work in the sub-culture of designer vinyl toys, Irwin has brought his unique design sensibility to toy creations by Kid Robot, Toy2R, Thunderdog Studios, and Toy Qube. He is also is also an accomplished print designer, artist and father. Heavily influenced by the urban landscape, architecture, heavy machinery, instruction manuals, schematics, graffiti, art, and pop culture, Irwin builds complex images by simultaneously weaving together and ripping apart these references and influences. Irwin’s work has been exhibited across the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan. He currently works as a freelance designer in his new hometown of Portland, Oregon. Founded in 2002 by designer Paul Budnitz, Kidrobot is the world's premier creator of limited edition art toys and apparel. Kidrobot creates toys, apparel, accessories, and other products in collaboration with many of the world's most talented artists and designers. The products sold at Kidrobot are the centerpieces of a global movement that exemplifies the cutting edge of both pop art and mass culture. Many Kidrobot toys, such as Dunny, MUNNY, and Frank Kozik's Labbits and Mongers, attract huge followings. A blend of sculpture and popular art, many of Kidrobot's exclusive toys are extremely rare and collectible. Artists often create a series of only a few hundred Filth strips the wood off the wagon so you can detail it exactly the way you want. This 12-inch DIY ride is limited to 200 white and 100 orange and pulls onto the lot March 19. The basic white model starts at $60.00, or upgrade to the orange model for $75.00.
