Who ate all the Bears?

Dead Beat City is the creative alias of Barnaby Purdy, a UK-based artist renowned for his distinctive resin-cast art toys, particularly his signature Kuma Bear figures. Purdy’s meticulous craftsmanship and innovative designs have garnered him a dedicated following among art toy enthusiasts worldwide.  In September 2021, Purdy held his inaugural solo exhibition at the Clutter Gallery in New York, showcasing a diverse array of Kuma Bear iterations, including double-casts, hyper bears, zombies, and the “Off Bear” series. This exhibition also introduced “Malvin,” a new figure developed in collaboration with fellow artist Muffinman. The Young Robin platform comes in 5 sizes Tiny = 19mm (0.74 inches) Mini = 32mm (1.26 inches) Regular = 52mm (2.24 inches) Sofubi = 65mm (2.56 inches) Jumbo = 98mm (4 inches) Young Robin was born back in 2017 with Cat Crusader and Robin the Bird Wonder. we are all super pleased that Malte is releasing more Young Robin on its own as Young Robin deserves all the attention.
