About this Artist
The work of MAp-MAp is the underhanded creations of Matthew Plater. A UK artist originating from the city of Leicester he flips around the world of many traditonal & digital mediums to push out any ideas he mulls over. Those ideas mainly come from a curiosity for the visually appealing and skin deep oddity in the characters and places he sees on his travel. With all knowledge being twisted by his vibrantly wasted youth spent on Saturday cartoon mornings & after school SNES marathons all edited by a young teen life spent in the woodls & farmland of Derbyshire. Acrylic paint is fast drying paint containing pigment suspension in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paints can be diluted with water, but become water-resistant when dry. Depending on how much the paint is diluted (with water) or modified with acrylic gels, media, or pastes, the finished acrylic painting can resemble a watercolor or an oil painting, or have its own unique characteristics not attainable with other media.
