About this Artist

Buff Monster lives in Hollywood and cites heavy metal music, ice cream and Japanese culture as major influences. The color pink, a symbol of confidence, individuality and happiness, is present in everything he creates. Buff Monster’s creative endeavors began by putting up thousands of hand-silkscreened posters across Los Angeles and in far-away places. His frequent poster missions developed into a productive street art career, and he now works on fine art paintings, collectible toys and select design projects. He paints on wood, taking great care to create his images as flat as possible, and his work has been shown in galleries worldwide, often accompanied by large installations. Buff Monster has released numerous signature vinyl toys through MINDstyle, and has many other projects in the works with leading toy companies. His art has been published in a variety of magazines, websites, newspapers and books, including Juxtapoz, Paper, Nylon, Cool Hunting, Angeleno, The Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, The New York Times, and many more. Buff Monster works tirelessly day and night to spread happiness, joy and a love of pink. In August 2002, adFunture Workshop released its first designer vinyl figure in Hong Kong and began its irreplaceable role within international designer figure movement. Graffiti artists, visual designers, art collectors became the company's creative force, supporters and customers. adFunture has grown to be the embodiment of designer figure culture, playing an integral part in its revolution. While it has grew into a Shanghai institution with both its global headquarter and factory setup in the vibrant city, adFunture also established itself internationally as a brand known for quality, styles and attitude. In the past 5 years, adFunture has worked with some of the most groundbreaking designers and artists of our generation, and it expects to expand the list with its setup of adFunture Europe in London. Yoka is a series of vinyl art toys created and produced by Adfunture, first released in June 2008. The collection includes figures in two primary sizes: a larger 10-inch figure and smaller 2.5-inch figures, each individually blister-packed. The Yoka series has featured numerous editions and collaborations with various artists and brands. These collaborations have made Yoka figures a canvas for artistic expression, appealing to both collectors and artists within the designer toy community. The series’ limited editions and unique designs contribute to its enduring popularity among enthusiasts.
