CLOSED: The first retail casualty of 2012 is a sad one. Red Hot Robot announced that after 4.5 years of showing and selling toy art in Phoenix, AZ, it will close its doors. RHR’s owner, Jason Kiningham, cites both business and personal reasons for the closure and says he will miss everybody. A London based artist that makes robots and takes photos Animator and illustrator specialising in character, creature and games design with a passion for video games, animation, cinema and comic books I take influence from all of these as well as my love and interest for nature and wildlife. I try to reflect these influences in my personal work and feel they have all have a strong and positive affect on my work over the years. Professionally I have predominatly been working with Adobe Flash for the last few years. Gaining experience working in games design, educational media, virtual worlds, social media and advertising campaigns all aimed at the children to young teen audiences. These projects have allowed me the invaluable experience of working closely with a variety of other departments such as editorial content producers, community management teams and development teams as well as working alongside other designers.
