Rex Champ

Back in the 1900s, deep in Alaska, a group of miners were blasting dirt, ice and what not searching for precious metals. Instead they discovered an unknown species of dwarf T-Rex. The miners' dynamite stirred something in this cantankerous critter and he developed a taste for it. Soon their entire stash had been grabbed up. When he couldn't have any he'd get mad and bellow so loud that they decided to name him RAAAR! Clutter Gallery is a leading contemporary art gallery specializing in the vibrant world of designer toys and lowbrow art. This collection serves as a testament to the gallery’s deep-rooted connection to the designer toy movement and its commitment to preserving and celebrating this unique art form. “The Custom RAAAR! Show” is a custom RAAAR! group exhibition created in collaboration with Dynamite Rex. I am an Artist based out of Chicago, IL. I’ve been illustrating, painting, and doing anything and everything art for the past 7 years. I’ve done various works from t-shirt design to logos to illustrating books to commission pieces. For the past year, I’ve gotten the most exposure for my custom work on vinyl toys. My work has been featured on multiple website and online forums as well as in print. Mid 2009 I developed a character named “Jonny Hancock” based on one of Chicago’s greatest buildings. Jonny Hancock is currently selling at Rotofugi, a designer toy store in Chicago. One of my latest custom designer toys was just featured on Kid Robot’s blog -The Kronikle. I like just to BE CREATIVE.
