Toy Tokyo is a renowned specialty toy store located in New York City’s East Village at 91 Second Avenue, between East 5th and East 6th Streets. Established in 2000 by owner Israel “Lev” Levarek, the store has become a haven for collectors and enthusiasts, offering a diverse selection of toys and collectibles.   The store specializes in a wide range of items, including vintage and contemporary toys, action figures, designer art toys, and pop culture memorabilia. Much of its inventory is imported from Japan and Hong Kong, featuring products related to anime, superheroes, and iconic franchises. Notably, Toy Tokyo offers exclusive items from brands such as KAWS, Funko, Ron English, and Medicom Toy. Lauda Shikito Salvatorem - all praise Shikito the savior. French artist Superdeux finally gives us the icon we’ve all been secretly longing for. Shikito is the featured character for Superdeux’s B*Shit line, a lovingly satirical streetwear brand that reminds us whose #%!@ is the baddest. Shikito is coming - look busy! Sebastien Roux (aka Superdeux) was born and raised in the south of France, worked and studied in Paris, and resides now in San Francisco California. Sebastien began his career as a designer over 10 years ago, working in interior design for 2 years and later developed his career in multimedia design. In 2001, he launched his career as a freelance graphic designer. He currently produces work in: motion graphics, character design, identity design, toy design and everything that need strong and meaningful design. Urban/Pop culture and its ever-changing faces are the inspirational elements for his project development and designs. Also creator of the Stereotype toys and the BSHIT brand/art concept. Sebastien Roux has worked in collaboration with talented forces including Phunk Studio, 123Klan, Stardust, Genevieve Gauckler, Bill Mc Mullen, Staple design, Interspectacular, Pictoplasma and TED to pursue his goal of exploring various mediums of communicating the urban sensibility. Based in San Francisco, CA but catering to the world at large, STRANGEco creates and distributes unique, high-quality design-oriented consumer products. Working closely with contemporary artists from a variety of subculture art genres – pop surrealism, graffiti & street art, independent comics, illustration, graphic design and others – STRANGEco takes original character design and transforms it into beautiful three dimensional art objects. Founded in 2002 by Gregory Blum and Jim Crawford, STRANGEco has become a dynamic force in the worldwide “Art Toy” movement with a reputation for the highest quality, best produced and intricately realized items. STRANGEco has produced hundreds original products from designs by a literal “who’s who” of contemporary art: Gary Baseman, Ron English, Shepard Fairey, Jeremy Fish, FriendsWithYou, James Jarvis, Mars-1, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Todd Schorr, Tokidoki, Jim Woodring and others.
