Clutter Gallery is a leading contemporary art gallery specializing in the vibrant world of designer toys and lowbrow art. Located in the artistic community of Beacon, New York (home to the world famous Dia museum), Clutter Gallery has established itself as a premier destination for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Since its inception in 2011, the gallery has been dedicated to showcasing the work of both established and emerging artists who push the boundaries of pop culture, street and low-brow art. In addition to its dynamic exhibitions, Clutter Gallery also houses an impressive permanent collection of Designer Toys, curated by the team behind its renowned print publication. This collection serves as a testament to the gallery’s deep-rooted connection to the designer toy movement and its commitment to preserving and celebrating this unique art form. Self-produced art toys are designer collectibles created and manufactured independently by the artist or small teams without the backing of a large toy company or mass-market brand. These toys are often highly personal, artistic expressions and are usually made in limited runs. Key Characteristics include independent creation where the artist is in control of the entire process from concept, sculpting, and painting to production and packaging. These are usually made in small batches, often 10–100 pieces, which adds to their rarity, made using materials like resin, sofubi (Japanese soft vinyl), or 3D-printed components. About October 10 - 13, 2013 Javits Center | NYC NYCC is the second largest pop culture convention in America and the only one that takes place in the comic book, publishing, media, and licensing capital of the world -- Gotham City. Our show floor plays host to the latest in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television, our panels give fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators, and our screening rooms feature premieres of films and TV shows months before they hit either big or small screens! Brandon Michael Barker is an artist and writer living in West Lafayette, Indiana, a fact that he sincerely requests not be counted against his character. He's a really nice guy. Really. He is owner of ManOrMonster? Studios and the creator of WARLORDS OF WOR. He likes odd toys, bad movies, good comics and hair metal. He lives contentedly with his wife and his dogs in a house with a yard that desperately requires some professional help. Brought up in the early 80s on a healthy diet of action cartoons and superhero comics, he developed an early fascination with heroism and myth in the modern age; themes he continues to explore throughout his art, while maintaing in it a fair amount of nostalgic charm and whimsy.
