Daisy works and lives in San Francisco as an artist and animator. She currently works as a 2D Digital Animator in the mobile game industry. She has also has experience managing and leading art teams. She has also worked extensively as a flash broadcast animator while living in Los Angeles, working on various television shows, commercials, music videos and independent films. Her work has been seen on Cartoon Network, HBO, MTV, Adult Swim, Nick Jr and Disney Playhouse, amongst others. She loves to paint and work on her personal fine art, and actively exhibits her work in galleries worldwide. She actively curates and organizes art shows featuring low-brow and entertainment industry artists in San Francisco. In her free time, Daisy loves to travel, read, and help curate and organize group art shows in the Bay area. She currently resides in San Francisco with her husband and artist partner in crime, Damon O’Keefe, their two cats and one horse. Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a neologism for the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. The word "giclée" is derived from the French language word "le gicleur" meaning "nozzle", or more specifically "gicler" meaning "to squirt, spurt, or spray". It was coined in 1991 by Jack Duganne, a printmaker working in the field, to represent any inkjet-based digital print used as fine art. The intent of that name was to distinguish commonly known industrial "Iris proofs" from the type of fine art prints artists were producing on those same types of printers. The name was originally applied to fine art prints created on Iris printers in a process invented in the early 1990s but has since come to mean any high quality ink-jet print and is often used in galleries and print shops to denote such prints. myplasticheart presents the 3rd annual New Moon: Interpretations of the Chinese Zodiac group exhibit. This year 24 artists will try their hand at re-imagining the 12 zodiac animals of the Chinese lunar calendar.
