These futuristic figures called DCTO: (‘dik-toe’) Jibun Project are a modern interpretation of the ancient Japanese Zen doll. Based on the legend of Daruma, a 5th century monk and the founder of Zen Buddhism, each figure sits 18cm/7 inches tall by 16cm/6.25 inches wide. The figure are weighted so that it will right itself when jostled. This feature symbolizes the Japanese saying, 'Nanakorobi yaoki' ('Fall 7 times, rise 8 times').
