What's your price range?

I know it's kind of tabboo to talk about money, but I was just curious what's people's price range for their toy pick ups?  (Plus, I have to admit that I'm kind of curious who those people are that spend a couple grand on non-custom, production stuff.)

Personally, I tend to shy away from things that are around $10 simply because those tend to be a blind boxed series and if I sought out all that I wanted, I could be spending hundreds of dollars.  Generally though, anything $50 or less I can buy without feeling guilting about spending a lot.  The closer a toy gets to the $75-100 range, the more I have to weigh how much I want it.  Most toys $125 and up that I'm interested in, I put on my want list and just keep an eye on for a really, really good price.  Some factors play a part on the upper range such as whether it's handmade from the artist direct vs mass produced (if it's mass produced, it's probably a pass for me).  My price range could be higher, but I'd rather spread it out to have more cool toys that I really love than spend more and have less.

Anyone care to share?

It used to be I couldn't even fathom spending $100 on a toy. But over the years I've just been spending more and more. (And no, not because I have more money, haha) The last piece I bought was $600, and it still seems like a good deal. It all depends on how much I want the piece I suppose.

pause v Haha. It's definitely an addiction. It could worse though right?
I picked up a Coarse Jaws Pain HKG still sealed in the box (with the print) shipped to Canada for just under $600. Not too shabby! The shipping on the piece alone was $70 :s about 12 years ago

Like a lot of you guys I started buying blind boxes and thinking these are fun but I don't know who spends $60 on a 8" Dunny. Then after I started buying retail 8" Dunnys, I though who would spend $200+ on an older Deph Dunny or a Turtlecamper on eBay. After I bought a bunch of stuff on eBay for $200+, I thought who spends $400+ on customs? After getting my Skullendario Azteca I thought who spends $1000+ on paintings.

I guess now I'm looking around for some paintings. :)

Easily_Amused I'm the reverse of you. I got into art first through comics, then through purchasing original art, and only recently have discovered Art Toys. I find it harder to spend money on blind boxes, Dunny's, ect... than to purchase specific pieces by artist (not refering to customs). I haven't developed my thoughts towards customs, but there is one I'm looking at dropping over a grand on. about 12 years ago

fortunately our currency is quite good against the dollar as I also generally have high shipping costs, for me the $100 mark is comfortable.

HoodedGrub m The Euro is stronger than the Rand. It's around R10 to 1 Euro, but under R8 to 1 Dollar. Much cheaper for me buying toys from the US than from Europe. Mintyfresh have a minimum rate of 25 Euro for any order, so if I buy a Toy for 10 Euro, it's 35 Euro before I even start and then I usually get hit with customs. Makes more sense for large orders we split the shipping. about 12 years ago

Easily_Amused Being here in the USA I try to avoid buying out of country if I can help it, because I get more for my money here. However, I just bought the two Gas Mask Murphy's that Made by Monsters put out and I feel I got a really good price on them. about 12 years ago

For me it's difficult for any toys. Having to import everything. If a Toy costs me $125, I have to convert it to our weak currency and then on top of that pay around $40-$60 for shipping... It's tough. I sometimes pay more for shipping than the Toy price. When I bought the Spank Stokes Stroll OMFG, it cost like $5 and I paid $16 to ship it here. It's great when I buy 3A Toys off Bambaland as they always include EMS Shipping in the price, so if I pay $90 for a Toy, that's pretty much what I can expect to pay if customs doesn't slap on a fee when it lands here.

The highest price I paid for a toy was 200$.

mine is still a bit low at the moment (struggling student and whatnot). however, i do have a small set of funds growing for a few particular higher priced items on my list. other than those very few things though, i'm super reluctant if it's over $45 (which hasn't gotten my collection very far).

I'd say around $250 would be my max atm, granted I wouldn't mind having orignals for a little more then that but as far as toys over that for anything not limited would be a little beyond my grasp to stay on budget.

I find I average around $200+ (US) each time I make a purchase. Though, I only spent $140 today on two pieces from 3A (Bamabaland store). Shipping charges affect my shoping pattern, because I get irritated when trying to buy something for less than a hundred and having to spend 10-20% extra in the price on shipping. However, when I bought the two Gas Mask Murphy's for $140 each I only had to pay $25 in total shipping for the two. It was still a little over 10% of the price of the item, but it felt smaller. And that makes all the difference in the world.

I'm laughing as I write this, because I work in Finance and realize how irrational this is.

I'm android fan, so 10 USD would be my hotspot. Because of shipping cost i usually save money and when i see something I really like I usually also buy some other things I have on my want list. But I'm also confotable spending around 50 USD.

I usually don't go over $60 unless it is an extremely high quality, very detailed poseable piece. Like Three A or Hot Toys.
